Apollon School of Music & Art Private & group violin lessons in Portland, ME

Learning to play any musical instrument provides an extraordinary opportunity to build self-esteem and to develop a love and excitement about the magical language music brings to everyones life.

We aim to help students of all ages and abilities learn and develop skills in string instruments and literature, quickly and thoroughly. Our instructors are classically trained musicians and have up to 25 years experience in teaching violin and cello in individual or group lessons.

A study has found that children who study a musical instrument for at least three years outperform other children even in non-musical skills. The young musicians were found to excel in tests measuring verbal ability and visual pattern completion.
