We provide private piano instruction in your home or in my home studio in NW Washington. I am currently accepting students of all ages and abilities. We believe that music ability is as much a basic life skill as walking or talking, and that all children can achieve basic competence in music provided their early music environment is rich.
Our instructors tailor a curriculum and musical approach to suit each student's interests and needs, inspiring each student to perform their music with confidence, beauty and precision. We offer music lessons to ages 4 through adult, depending on the instrument. Instruction is available in piano, guitar, cello, violin, voice, drums, bassoon, saxophone, clarinet and flute.
I teach guitar lessons with a method that is more geared towards fun and being able to socialize with music than with theory (at least in the beginning). I find that most of my students appreciate this more than having to go through entire guitar lessons devoted to theory. I have taught students as young as 7 years old and the idea is to keep them interested and vested in completing the current lesson and exploring on their own.
Established in 1998, we are a local Music School devoted to matching students of any age or skill level with the right music instructor and program. We teach private music lessons and group lessons, ages preschool through adult. Our goal from the start has been simple, to spread appreciation and knowledge of music. We promise quality music lessons in a positive and collaborative learning environment. Our music students are challenged and encouraged to develop their music talents to their fullest potential.
My goal with each student is to give them the tools to become life-long learners while making the learning experience rewarding and fun. By tailoring my teaching style to fit each students needs and goals, I have successfully taught all experience levels and age groups. Lessons emphasize basic note reading, music theory and guitar technique while playing classical guitar music from all over the world.
Mrs. Mang reaches out to each of her students, to motivate, cajole or inspire the commitment and practice needed to really make a difference in each student's musical development. It is her passionate belief (All her beliefs are passionate.) that one of the most important factors in developing a fine independent studio is the teacher's ability to connect with each student's motivation on a personal level.

Most of our teachers have degrees in music, though some have minored in it. And there are some who have become accomplished performers on their instrument and have a desire to convey their knowledge and expertise to others. All of our teachers are interviewed and auditioned. We look at their personality to see how they might relate with people, both adults as well as children, because it is in this area that is most important about being a teacher for our organization.
