Barker's Music We have a combined staff of 12 music teachers specializing in guitar, piano, bass, keyboard, harmonica, vocal and drums. Many teachers have been with us over 18 years. Because of their experience and level of education, our teachers have a phenomenal success rate. We recommend you interview with teachers that teach your instrument and find a teacher you are comfortable with.

Tuitions range from $18.00 to $25.00 for a weekly lesson. Most lessons are private one on one but we do have group piano lessons. Went in on a whim after visiting the piercing shop across the parking lot. Ended up buying a Yamaha P45 at the same sales price of the cheapest stores I could find online. It was great being able to support local business instead. Would highly recommend.

Kyle's brainchild of a meeting place, a watering hole for the musicians that come to teach, to learn, to shop, to get into the scene. A place where support is offered to school and church group, other, any learning group that wants latest tech, equipment, and professional musicians to help figure it out, as in my case. Learning to play is a hope, not necessarily a goal yet as I know my limitations, realistically. Support, encouraging people, guitar, piano and wind instruments that make noises, the vibe is here. Kasey is the next generation band leader as Kyle and Julie explore new roads.

A special place, special people and they can get anything that makes noises, or in my case disjointed whatever that was.but lessons are coming. He tells me, highly recommend.hmm.

I stopped by Barker's Music today and was delighted with my experience. The gentleman who helped me was extremely welcoming and very helpful. I needed a couple pegs replaced on my acoustic guitar, and some help with the strings. He made me feel right at home. I suffer from a lot of social anxiety, and to be honest I hate going out in public. But Barker's Music felt like such a calm, safe place.

They have an incredible selection of pianos, guitars and equipment, and contrary to some reviews I have read, it's very spacious - a stroller friendly place! I probably will never go to Guitar Center again knowing this gem exists right in the heart of Modesto. Thanks Barker's Music!

Didn't have the strings I was looking for but were still able to provide me with a nice set at a decent price. Lots of singles to choose from, store owner was patient and friendly. Couldn't ask much more.

It's a good place really. I take piano lessons there. Nice for if you don't wanna wear a mask tho the building could look less boring and it's in a poor area, tho I've been goin there for 6 in a half years

Bob Barker is a great guy and great with kids. Brought my niece here last year and he was so nice to her. Very good customer service and not creepy at all, as it should be. I love this place and love this guy. My niece was very fond of him as well. He is also a great teacher.

I called to ask if they had an xlr cable and the lady who answered laughed and asked if I was kidding. Its a pretty standard microphone cable.strange that i would be laughed at. I encourage others to stray away from this store and allow another shop with some decent customer service and knowledge take its place.

Came to this shop to check out ukuleles with my child since she wanted one. We found a good deal on an Alvarez. There was a Groupon deal for classes that we decided to try and then I signed my child up for some more sessions with Scott. He was a very good instructor. I do recommend this place.

I needed a sound system last minute for an event, and Barker's Music made it happen! I was greeted by a wonderful associate named Kasey who helped me get everything I needed and explained how to set up/operate the equipment. It all worked flawlessly! Definitely a small business to support here in Modesto, go to these guys before anyone else! Thanks Barker's!

Bad and not friendly at all. No one to greet you, buying tickets to an event, told AFTER he brought tickets out CASH only! No signs stating this policy anywhere. Yah im sure people are buying Pianos cash only WTH! Bad service. Bad business.

Recently I came into Barker's Music looking for a harmonica. Now that's not really a popular instrument around these parts (to my knowledge, anyway), but I was happy to see that the employees working there seemed to be knowledgeable and friendly. They found me exactly the kind of blues harp I wanted AND even knocked down the price for me since I'm a beginner. And to top it all off, they even threw in an instructional booklet for me to get started with.
