There is no doubt that you will enjoy your greatest improvements in singing skills through private lessons. Both Barry and Debra Bounous offer private and small-group lessons. If you are in any of the classes, you can schedule a single private lesson periodically as needed.

When you step onto a stage, no matter the style of song, you have got to be able to project. Sometimes it's a "belt" song. Sometimes "mix" style. And more. Here is how you can learn to be the kind of stage singer every director wants.

Classes for Children & Youth

Report

These are singing "adventures" for children and youth. Using the proven and effective Suzuki style, children explore pitch, movement, sequencing and musical expressiveness. We use folk songs, singing games and dramatic play. Rhythm and notation skills are started here. Children and youth participate in ensemble performances, with opportunities for solo experiences as well.

Special Classes for Adults & Teens

In every section students participate in a weekly class (one hour each). Students enjoy preparing these songs while learning vocal techniques in a fun and friendly atmosphere. At the conclusion of each 2 month section, students perform in a recital with solo and ensemble pieces.

Dr. Barry Bounous

Dr. Barry Bounous has been a member of the BYU voice faculty since 1992. In addition, he has a private vocal school called VoiceWorks. He teaches both classical and contemporary styles and has been the musical director for several local productions.

Debra Bounous

Debra Bounous is a founder of VoiceWorks Singing Studios, a member of Brigham Young University's Voice Faculty and has developed programs for students in the community. of all ages. Her approach is positive and supportive, helping all her students have a fun, friendly learning experience.
