Community School Of Music and Arts CSMA has offered private music instruction for over 40 years. The CSMA music faculty is a group of highly trained and experienced performers and instructors. The music program has several types of instruction including private lessons, master classes, workshops, classes and ensembles.

When describing CSMA and its mission, one must look at its philosophy, a deep belief that the arts are an intimate part of human nature, and that instruction in music, dance, theater and art should be made available to any community member who desires to learn. CSMA commits its resources to students and faculty, and to the larger group of artists in the Ithaca community.

The cello is not an instrument that one normally associates with jazz. Chris White is helping to change that.
