Daphne O'Rullian I ask for parental involvement whenever possible, especially with young beginners. I also recognize that many do not have the time to be at their children's lessons. With this in mind I maintain regular contact with parents via email or telephone in order to better help students progress. It is much easier for everyone involved if a parent knows that their child is supposed to be working on a specific piece or scale.

Lesson Instruction will take place at my home in Bountiful Utah on Pages Lane.

Report
As a student I learned using the Suzuki method, and although I am by no means a strict adherent to all of its aspects, I use several techniques in the Suzuki methodology such as listening and memorization along with the Suzuki books - primarily because they offer students an excellent selection of pieces that progress in difficulty and are also recognizable.

I encourage my students to begin reading music very early on in their study, and also incorporate an understanding of music theory into lessons.
