My goals are to teach my students to play piano and to know and love music and, at the same time, to use the process of learning as a tool in development of important skills useful at school, college and work. This includes persistence, the ability to learn and concentrate, being comfortable in front of an audience, and self-esteem.This studio is where students come to learn the joy of playing piano. There are many different styles of music to choose from: contemporary, classical, or folk just to name a few. One size does not fit all. Repertoire is chosen to fit each student's individual tastes and skill level. Playing the piano enhances a student's ability to concentrate and regular participation in recitals teaches children how to overcome shyness in a group setting.

Elaine Mayzel
Elaine Mayzel, pianist and teacher, graduated from one of the most prestigious schools of music in the world; St Petersburg Conservatory,Russia with double major in piano and instruction. Elaine's musical career began as a pianist at The Leningrad Opera and Ballet Theatre where she worked for 15 years. It was during this time that Elaine added to her own repertoire and began giving private piano lessons to children.

As an adult, beginning piano student, I was somewhat reluctant to take lessons late in life. However, Elaine has created for me an encouraging and age-appropriate learning atmosphere. I have learned to play many types of music since I started 3 years ago and I still enjoy each and every lesson with Elaine along with participation in piano recitals.

My two children are students of Elaine Mayzel. Elaine is a dedicated and professional educator. She has her own "signature" style that keeps children motivated and engaged through the lesson. Two-three times a year every child gets an opportunity to participate in recital and concerts. What I especially like about the Elaine is that lessons are adjusted for every student, depending on their goals and your abilities. She is also a very good in communicating with parents. Highly recommend.

Our daughter has been taking lessons from Elaine for five years. Elaine has a talent to teach students of all ages and abilities. She knows how to keep her students dedicated and interested in piano in many ways. Above and beyond her teaching abilities, we are thankful that Elaine has been a positive role model for our teenage daughter. We would highly recommend Elaine as a piano instructor for someone of any age.
