My preference in teaching is the Suzuki Plus program where a wide range of skills is fostered. Im also available to work with students from school orchestra programs who want to further their skills in a private lesson setting. Ive been teaching violin in Fort Collins for several years now. I moved to Fort Collins to be closer to my grandchildren. Prior to that, for 25 years I worked in various capacities with the Suzuki Plus program of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Canada.

The Suzuki lesson plan is set up to allow very young children (5 years old) to begin to absorb music in general and violin playing in particular. The private lesson time can start at 15 minutes. One parent (or both) is always present to absorb and know what to do with the child at home as the home teacher.
