Our strings program offers private instruction in violin or cello. Our violin lessons start as young as age 5, though we generally advise that students take a few years of piano first. Due to the size of the instrument, most cello lessons start at 10 years of age or older. We offer private violin and cello lessons using the Suzuki method, which - unlike piano - we approve of for teaching strings.
We offer piano lessons for students of all ages and abilities from beginners to very advanced students. We offer every style of piano lessons from classical, jazz and pop. We have students who want to play just for fun and students who wish to excel with the curricula of the North Shore Music Teachers Association and the National Piano Guild.
We have many students who take singing lessons at our school. Students sing all kinds of music from their favorite artists to classical arias. Our teachers have university training in music specializing in voice and sing everything from pop and jazz to opera. Our teachers all have performance backgrounds as well. Just a sample of what a student will learn in singing lessons includes how to breathe properly, how to increase their range, proper pitch, how to project and stage presence.
Our lessons include acoustic, electric and bass guitar. We teach in number of styles including rock, american fingerstyle, jazz, pop, and chording. Our teachers have college or university music degrees so they know how to teach the proper theory and technique if a student is interested in rock or in classical. Guitar lessons at our schools are enhanced by the opportunity to perform solo in one of our recitals or with accompaniment.

I am most thankful to you for the teaching you provide that goes beyond the keyboard. My boy has learned a lot about setting goals and then working towards them. Participating in Guild and Achievement in Music helped in that regard. I also think he has gained self-confidence through this piano experience and that is so important in everything he will do in life. Thank you so much for everything you have done.

I believe you've been telling my daughter "how to practice" for quite some time. As you know, it is very hard to get any information out of a child after lessons. It was a very informative and useful opportunity to sit down with you and get a complete overview of how to practice. Parents should be very strongly encouraged to attend. I only wish you would have had this seminar much sooner!
