Forte Music School A powerful music education must focus on skill building. Genius potential though a child may have, very little release will occur without a strong possession of music skills. Forte Music School places a strong emphasis of sight-reading, technique, theory and musicianship. Instructors guide students through a series of benchmarks, specifically articulated for each level of study.

We are not like anything you've ever seen before. Our strong focus on core skills (theory, technique, site-reading) will give students the tools they need to keep them playing for a lifetime. But that's not what keeps them motivated. Enter Forte's unique approach: student's are challenged to record the pieces they're learning utilizing computer recording equipment in each studio.

My kids went to forte for years, and had such a fantastic experience. Teachers are very professional, and their approach unique - how they have students record their pieces. Was so fun for them to have something to show for their work.

I am a local English teacher in the Beaverton district and multiple of my students enrolled this fall at Forte Music School. The Forte approach to "literacy" within music amazed me when I first learned of it (reading, writing and speaking/improvising); now I witness its powerful effects firsthand. One of my thirteen-year-old male students struggles in his reading and writing in the academic classroom. However, at Forte, he finds great success in this other, different type of literacy. At Forte, the teachers are not only highly qualified musicians, but are also passionate about kids. I love this new approach to teaching music!

We were very interested in getting both of the kids into lessons and Forte has so many different options that we were able to get them both into piano lessons. My son is really excited about playing guitar and it's going to be great that we don't have to switch schools when he's ready (a little older) to take guitar lessons.
