Cello lessons require cooperation and communication between student and teacher to make a successful musical experience. My mission is to nurture the artistic spirit in each person and a lifelong love of music and learning through a wide variety of types of repertoire and to help each student achieve their highest musical potential through performance, technique, theory, sight-reading, music history, ensemble, composition, ear training, and memorization.

Improvements in technology now make it possible and practical to offer cello lessons via Skype or other video services. You get the same great personal instruction in the convenience of your own home and at times beyond Gonca's standard studio times. All you need is an internet connection and a desktop, laptop, or tablet device with a video camera. We will help get setup.

Gonca Huff

Widely renown and sought after for her passionate performances, cellist Gonca Huff performs, teaches, and lives in the Mid South. Gonca is a native of Ankara, Turkey, where she served as principal cellist for the Adana Symphony Orchestra and the New Adana Chamber Orchestra. She perfected her skills studying with the great European cellists.

Gonca Huff is a great teacher! I took cello lessons from her for seven months, and .... I absolutely loved my lessons. She is very thorough, strict (in a good way), and won't let you get by with even a misplaced finger on a string, which sounds like it would be a con but I can assure you is a pro.

I've been with Gonca for three months now. I had no cello experience prior to coming to her. She is incredible at tailoring lessons to exactly your level. She is very professional and her love for the instrument is obvious. She finds great analogies and examples to help me learn things that are difficult to teach otherwise.
