Products and Services
We accept violin students form the age of 5. Some teachers will start children as young as 3, but experience has shown us the most productive learning occurs when the beginner is 5 or older. Viola students are accepted at 9 to 10 years of age. Violin and Viola private lessons are individually tailored to meet each student's need and level of experience. We currently offer instruction for both Violin and Viola.
We accept students as young as 5 years old for private piano lessons. At his age the child has begun to develop longer attention spans and can retain material with ease. Private piano lessons are individually tailored to meet each student's need and level of experience.
We provide instruction for Acoustic, Bass and Electric Guitars. Students interested in Acoustic or Electric guitar lessons can start form the age of 7 or 8. Guitar playing requires a fair amount of pressure on the fingertips from pressing on the strings. Children under 7 generally have small hands and may find playing uncomfortable. Bass guitar students generally are 10 years and older.
Due to the physical nature of voice lessons (proper breathing techniques, development of the vocal chords and lung capacity), the younger body is generally not yet ready for the rigors of vocal technique. For children younger than 10 we offer lessons alternating piano and singing instruction that teaches them how to use their voices properly, in a fun, relaxed environment.
