Musicology School of Music We are the only music school in Madison / Huntsville that offers music lessons six days a week from early in the morning to late at night to accommodate your busy schedule. Musicology has a proven track record of offering quality music, guitar, voice, singing, piano and drum lessons in Madison / Huntsville, Alabama year round. Our full time mission is teaching music lessons trusted by over 1,000 families for almost a decade.

Our new facility has 12 private teaching studios, (built with sound proofing materials) a large group class room, and our own recital hall. Our rooms are stocked with everything you need, including amps, stereos, full drum kits with pads, keyboards, pianos and more. All you need to bring is your instrument.

One of the things that has really set up apart is our focus on providing lessons that are fresh, new, and engaging. It's a challenge to engage children or adults, but by integrating technology such as teaching apps from the iTunes store, GarageBand, you name it, we're providing a cutting edge lesson experience in the Madison / Huntsville area.

Every parent just wants to know how their child is doing and if they are really progressing. The best way for a parent to understand if their investment in lessons is really worth it, is to have their child participate in a recital. Many of our students choose to perform in our free quarterly recitals.

We also host a rock band showcase once a year, which gives your child the opportunity to play with a live rock band! We have Madison / Huntsville's most established and recognized rock band program for kids and teens. Your child will love the opportunity to rock out on the big stage with a real rock band. You are encouraged to bring your family and friends to the show for free to share in the fun!

Guitar Lessons are great at Musicology. I'm learning about Music Theory, having fun, and becoming a better musician all at the same time.

Positive and talented, Vanessa definitely helped to give me a good vocal foundation and was fun and relaxed in the process. I started not only improving but being excited to further myself from my first choir practice under her direction. The music she gave us was wonderful, and I was excited to be performing it with the rest of the choir, which is very good. Her style of teaching is very open and comfortable, more like a friend giving advice than a teacher lecturing, and I was very happy to have found her!

My son did the infant rhythms class and then moved up to the baby beats class at the Scottsdale location. He absolutely loved it and it was a really great experience to bring him to class. They did fun themes, like a Beatles theme that I especially enjoyed. The owners, Mary and Missy, are both really wonderful and sweet. Music has so many benefits for young children and these are great classes for families and kids.

I am so glad my daughter and I joined the Musicology family! We are in the Baby Beats Chandler class and not only is it helping her development and enriching our day, but it is FUN! Having time just for us to explore music and rhythm is priceless. The staff are so knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend it!

My daughter started taking classes here in September and she LOVES her musicology time. Every Thursday her face lights up when we pull up to the building. The concept is a great one and it really does wonders for kids of all ages. It is never too early to have your child engage in musical and movement-based activities. The instructors know what they are doing and I am surprised at how much my daughter has learned from the lessons in the last two months.

It's easy to schedule make up classes online in the event that your kid has to be absent. However, I really wish that they would take their sick policy more seriously or rather enforce it on the parents. Almost every class after October had a sick kid or two. Visibly sick.as they shared toys they put in their mouth with other kids. A few weeks ago a girl coughed (I'm talking about that wet sick cough) into my daughters face. As you can conclude, she got sick a few days later.and so did the rest class from what I heard.

I have been taking my daughter to musicology since she was 6 weeks old. She is now 9 months and we still love it. This is not just any music class. There is a tremendous amount of thought and effort that goes into each week with their respective theme. Miss Mary, one of the owners, has provided us with nothing but the best customer service. She is a loving and talented person and I cannot thank her enough for teaching my baby so much at such a young age and for also providing me with so much knowledge to bring into my own home. We will be coming until we are cut off! :

We've been regularly attending their Arcadia location since our baby was 6 weeks old (now he is 7 months!) and absolutely LOVE it! The instructors have all been so sweet and are great at what they do. The way they match the songs/activities to where your child is at developmentally is amazing and as a new mom, i've learned so much about my little guy!

It is not only fun for the babies, but so educational for the parents which is a total win/win as a first time parent! They have adorable themes each week and it is a great place to meet other parents that have babies close in age to your cutie pie. They really create a sense of community and I absolutely love that. I plan to have him enrolled for as long as he can go because the value of music, learning, and fun is unbeatable!

Thank you so much for making the beginning of my parenthood journey FUN! :) We so look forward to our class once a week. Makeups are also super easy if you can't make your regularly scheduled day/time. See you next week!

I've been taking my daughter to these classes since she was 6 weeks old. She enjoys going to class and she loves when I sing the Musicology songs at home. I recommend Musicology because it's a great activity for mom and dad to do with baby and because I do feel my daughter's learning and development has been enhanced through these classes.

I came with my Nephew and enjoyed the dancing and watching babies reaction to music. It felt very clean and comfortable air conditioning temperature. It is an adorable concept and I'm sure once my Nephew is older, he will enjoy the classes even more.

We have done two sessions at Musicology and just signed up for our third. My son always has such a great time, and I must admit, so do I! We have Ms. Jenny and she is so fantastic- so fun, goofy, and also so knowledgeable. I always learn something about child development! I look forward to attending every week! They have a great studio with ample accommodations- changing tables and space to hang out before/after class.

I've been attending Musicology with my daughter Evelyn since she was 6 weeks old (she's 12 months old now.)Every week we both look forward to going. I know she'll be engaged the whole class. Each level of classes is developmentally appropriate for the age group. We have fun, learn, bond and laugh. We've also made fabulous friends through our classes. We will be coming to music class until she's too old to go! We absolutely love Miss Mary and highly recommend her classes.

I have twin girls and we started when we were 2 months old and went all the way through to 3 1/2. Musicology has assisted my girls with listening, following directions, putting toys away and increased their vocabulary all in a fun way they don't even know they are learning. We had so much fun with all the teachers and other families. If you want to help your children excel in this world and have fun doing it join the Musicology Family!

This is my daughters favorite activity. She is 14 months old and we have been going since she was 6 months. I always recommend Musicology to any moms looking for something fun, educational, and interactive for their little ones.

I started taking my son to Musicology when he was 6 months old. He and I both loved going, it was always a fun experience and special bonding time for us. The classes are small, everything is always very clean and the teachers are all awesome. I love that each semester is broken up into different genres of music and themed seasonally. I would practice the songs and rhymes we learned in class with my son throughout the day.

I am a big fan of Dr Stamm's book, "Bright from the Start, " and her research findings are incorporated throughout the Musicology program. My son is now at a Montessori preschool and is excelling. He said his first words at 11 months and was speaking in complete sentences by 2 years. I'm not going to say his language development was all because of Musicology, but the program definitely gave me great tools to teach him! I am so excited to be back in class again, now with my 6 month old baby girl. It really is so much fun and completely worth it!

Musicology is a place where babies, toddlers and small children can learn about music, life lessons and friendship in a safe, interactive environment. Miss Leah is the absolute best and is not only shaping my little one to share, care, dance, play and be independent, she's teaching me to be a better mom. Sophie loves her time, and her development grows more each week. We are amazed at what she takes in, remembers and repeats at home.

We LOVE musicology! We were first introduced to musicology through first things first and new directions institute, 2.5 yrs ago. Coming from musical backgrounds, my husband and I felt we could properly introduce music to our infant. Now that it is time for him to move beyond our living room, infant jam sessions, we couldn't be more pleased to have chosen Musicology Scottsdale.

He is learning so much from Ms. Ada in the Kiddy Keys class and at 3.5yrs., he loves reciting all the songs and games at home throughout the week. His little stubby fingers are becoming more agile and his basic understand of the keyboard is something we didn't know how to provide him with at home. We are so thankful for the opportunity to enroll our toddler in such an "instrumental" (pun intended ) program!

We have been going to musicology for over a year and my daughter absolutely loves it! She looks forward to class and Miss Mary every Thursday and sings the new songs she learns through out the week. We just had our second daughter and plan to start her in classes in a few months. They learn so much and have a great time. Very glad I found this class for our children!

We've had the best experience all around here! Classes are structured from the moment you begin until the end. Our teacher, Mary, is the sweetest, and so knowledgeable when it comes to child development. Both my son and I enjoy attending each week.

I cannot express how much we have enjoyed miss Leah's class's. I had numerous girlfriends recommend musicology, but I was a bit skeptical about it. However, it has turned out to be my favorite activity that I do with my son. He has learned so much from coming here. You can get a free first trial class and believe me, you will love it!

We signed up for our first musicology class. Our daughter is almost 2 and we go every week with Miss Leah and it is so much fun! The class is structured and interactive and the teachers are so talented and patient. It's a great way to meet new moms and have your kids make friends and interact and learn to sing and share! We love musicology!

We love Musicology! We are in the "walkers" session for my 14 month old son. A little shy, he always warms up to class after the first couple of exercises. By the end he is ready to keep dancing and playing. This is a great way to be social for baby and parent. Miss Leah is so fun and sweet. She always calls out each child by name during class to tell them great job or point out fun dancing, etc.

She keeps class moving at a good pace, and clearly enjoys being here. There are different themes depending on the week such as British Invasion (Beatles anyone?), and Broadway showtunes, to name a couple. They also offer plenty of workshops. So far all that I have heard of have been complimentary. Each of them gages child development and education. I would recommend to anyone! So glad we found Musicology :)

All of my classes have been with the energetic and infinitely patient Ms. Leah in the Scottsdale Baby Beats class. so far. We plan to continue. At a little more than $17.50 a class ($230 for 13 weeks), this has become almost a greater investment than buying Apple stock before they launched the first iPod. Our baby girl loves the class and really seems to enjoy music now.

Plus there is one song, that we learned in Musicology, we can play in the car when she's fussy and it calms her down. EVERY TIME. Ms. Leah is the only teacher we've had. She's some kind of baby whisperer. Let's give a shout out for the baby whisperer! In the classes I've attended so far, there has been nary a meltdown. Ms. Leah just rolls with whatever happens with a smile and makes everyone feel welcome - even the ones of us who sing off key and have two left feet.

Classroom is OCD-level clean. They sanitize everything between classes. Musicology schedule is really flexible, as long as they have an opening, you can make up classes that you miss. So you have a baby? Well, get over to Musicology, put on a name tag, take off your shoes (adults have to wear socks) and let go of your insecurities. Babies of various stages of development and adults in their life of various stages of musical talent are welcome here.

Such a great program! We have been taking our son for a year now and he really enjoys his Saturday class with Ms. Leah. It is a fun way to introduce him to instruments and different types of music. The Scottsdale studio is fantastic! All newly renovated and perfect for kids! This is an activity our entire family looks forward to each week.
