Parental involvement in lessons and home practice is very important for young children. My studio is located in the Roland Park neighborhood in Baltimore. I may also be able to travel to students' homes in Howard County and some other areas.Weekly lessons are the foundation of learning to play the cello. Please plan to pay for the lesson every week except for school holidays, snow emergencies, and lessons missed due to teacher absence or illness.

April Chisholm has been teaching and performing in the Baltimore/Washington area for several years. She started the New Cello School in 2007 in order to provide the highest quality lessons at reasonable rates and in a supportive setting. April's students excel in their school orchestras, and have been accepted into honors orchestras and summer music programs.
