Nick Weiss Music

Nick was fantastic to work with, and his music was a memorable and special touch for our wedding. He was easy to communicate and coordinate with, didn't mind as some of the details changed rather last minute, and delivered a wonderfully touching version of a song that we asked for, which my spouse will remember forever. Easy five stars, and happy to recommend to anyone!

Nick played at my wedding last weekend in middle of the Covid pandemic. I chose him because I loved that he played the guitar and ukulele during the ceremony, then switched to DJ for the reception. Not only was he very talented at guitar/ukulele, he also has a beautiful voice! He had us choose a few songs so he knew what type of music to play, and then played songs based off what everyone was Responding to (per my request). Very affordable, responsive and easy to work with. HIGHLY recommend him.

I'm a venue manager and Nick is on our approved DJ list. I'm so lucky to have him! He's amazing to work with and so laid back. He keeps the calm for such a big and special day for our couples on their wedding day. He does both live music and DJ. It is such a fun dynamic at the events and I'm always excited to find that he'll be at the events. Thank you Nick!

Nick was a lifesaver for taking a gig at the very last minute. He providing live acoustic as well as playing recorded music for a reception last week at the Bali Hai. His choice of music was appropriate for the event, a memorial reception. He was entertaining but unobtrusive. He was adept at reading the crowd and playing some great nostalgic songs.

With a thousand things to take care of, hundreds of guests to greet and thank, I was completely distracted. Nick came in, set up, and was ready to play as the first guests arrived form the church. All this was accomplished with one text and one phone call and I didn't have to worry about a thing. Couldn't ask for anything more.

This review is several years overdue. Nick played last minute for an intimate beach wedding I was officiating for my brother and sister-in-law. He was very easy to communicate with, had a wide repertoire of music he could play, and truly made it a special wedding. He arrived early with a small amp and played just loud enough to create the right ambiance. I hope I will be able to use him again in the future.

I am not musical in anyway and my only request for a DJ was that he not be annoying as an MC. My husband took on the task of finding a DJ and was thorough in his search. We had a great call with Nick and felt confident that he could meet my husband's needs and not mess up my one request. Nick was fantastic. He played acoustic guitar before the ceremony and our requested songs during it, he played and sang during the cocktail hour, and became our DJ for the party.

He was a great MC when needed and a great DJ all night. We provided specific song requests for key moments and talked with him about what we like. I appreciated that he did a great job of appropriate music selection with very little guidance from us (although I know he would have taken more specifics into account had we provided them). Thank you Nick!

Nick was our DJ at our wedding last weekend and he was WONDERFUL! We had him play both DJ'd and live guitar at our wedding and it really made the event special. Nick was very easy to work with and very reasonably priced. We had an extra request from my mother-in-law on the day of the wedding and Nick was very flexible and willing to work with us.

Another great thing was that Nick was always looking at us (bride and groom) to see what we needed. when our first dance became a bumbled mess he knew to fade the music out just by looking at me haha! I was super happy with his selection of music for the dancing portion of the wedding, our guests had a great time and a good portion were dancing. He didn't play any slow songs which I LOVED, he got the vibe we wanted. I highly recommend Nick as your wedding DJ!

We hired Nick to play guitar/ukulele for our ceremony and cocktail hour. He then transitioned to being our DJ for the evening. He also provided some uplighting for the trees at our venue. We could not be happier with his service. Everything was spot on. The ceremony music was just what we wanted and cocktail hour had the perfect vibe. He is a very skilled and versatile musician.

When we first met, Nick promised us that he could read the room and keep people dancing and excited, and boy did he deliver. He works best if you trust him to do his thing. Give him a "do not play" list and a list of must haves and let him do the rest. He will not disappoint- EVERYONE at our wedding enjoyed the music and had a great time, and we did have quite a mix of ages and generations.

We hired Nick Weiss for our wedding reception and he was amazing! Nick was easy to get in contact with and he made the process of planning our wedding music seamless and easy. He listened to what we wanted and was very easy to deal with. When we met with him, he even played the guitar and ukulele for us in person and he is very very talented. For the reception cocktail hour, Nick played the guitar and ukulele before switching to DJ-ing for the rest of the reception.

While we waited outside during the cocktail hour to make our grand entrance, everyone who came out of the reception was raving about how awesome the music was. Nick made all of the announcements exactly the way we wanted and as a DJ, he played a great selection of music and he kept the crowd dancing. Usually when I go to a wedding, the DJs are playing music way too loud and are making jokes and dancing and drawing attention to themselves the entire time.

We wanted a more classy musician/DJ and Nick was a perfect fit. All of our guests still talk about how great Nick was. He really made our wedding day exactly the way we wanted.

WOW, Nick Weiss is really good and super professional. I had my son high school graduation and hired Nick to play guitar. He was really good and the music was excellent, all my guest were really happy and impressed with his music and talent. I will for sure hire Nick for my next event and I'm pretty sure all my friends are going to hire Nick for their events.

Nick did an amazing job at our wedding this past weekend. For our ceremony songs, we requested that Nick play a few specific songs, one of which was hard to arrange for a single guitar, but he made it work beautifully and we were extremely happy with his performance. In fact, a few guests actually told us how much they loved the music. Not only did Nick do an excellent job at performing the songs we selected for the ceremony, but he also captured the vibe we were looking for with the songs he played during our reception.

We couldn't be happier with our decision to hire Nick, as he was on time, professional, courteous, and a great guitar player (and singer). We would hire him again and highly recommend him.

Nick Weiss is a true professional. We hired him for our wedding ceremony and reception and it was a very good experience. We originally were going to have our wedding in San Diego but then decided to have it in Orange County instead. He was easy going about traveling. He was very accessible in every stage of our planning and knew the right questions to ask to make everything as smooth as possible.

He has incredible talent. For the ceremony he played our requested songs including one he has probably never had requested before, all on ukulele. It sounded lovely. For the ceremony we were not allowed to have live music, but lucky for us, Nick also deejays, so it was a no-brainer hiring him for that too. He did an awesome job. We had several requests and he also gave us some very good suggestions to make it a very fun, memorable, special evening.

We finally met him face to face maybe half way through the evening, and what a genuinely nice man he is. Also that evening may have been the most humid, uncomfortable day in any of our memories, and Nick never once made us feel like he was uncomfortable. He performed with a smile the whole night through. I would definitely hire him again for another event.

Nick was originally supposed to play at our ceremony but due to the pouring rain we opted to have him at our cocktail hour instead. Nick was awesome! Everyone kept asking me where I had found him because he was so good! I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a musician and will definitely book him again for future events!

Nick is extraordinarily skilled and was a significant addition to our wedding experience. His beautiful music was sonically pleasing and many of our guests were delighted by his performances. My wife and I specifically requested certain songs to be performed during both our ceremony and reception and Nick executed perfectly -- matter of fact, his ability to provide us with the songs we had requested was better than I anticipated.

At only a month's notice, Nick proved himself to be dependable and talented -- considering that he had to learn a couple of the songs we had requested -- and contributed to the overall success of our wedding. He is worth every penny (and more).

Nick is an amazing musician and we hired him to play at our wedding two years ago. He can pretty much play anything and is very open-minded about learning new songs at your request. For our wedding ceremony he came up with a fantastic guitar/ukulele version of "I See The Light" (from Disney's Tangled) and "Married Life" ( the theme from Up). It was exactly what we wanted and it was perfect. Our wedding guests still to this day talk about how much they loved Nick's music. Thanks for making our wedding so special, Nick!

Approximately one month prior to our wedding, we decided we would like to have live music for our wedding ceremony. When doing a search online, we came across, Nick Weiss and we are so thrilled we contacted him! Nick played the ukulele at our ceremony and it was beautiful. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful it was to have live music and how much they enjoyed the music Nick chose to play. Nick took requests as to which songs we wanted played during the ceremony for the processional, bridal entrance and recessional.

He played the songs beautifully and also played music on his ukulele as guests were arriving to the ceremony. Nick was also very knowledgeable of the location of our ceremony, South Beach in Coronado, and recommended we set up a microphone so all the guests could hear the ceremony. What a great suggestion, as this was something we had not thought of. Nick took care of setting up the microphone for us and we are very grateful that he suggested this, otherwise our guests definitely would not have been able to hear the ceremony.

The music was great and Nick was a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend him for your event. Our only regret is that we did not book him to play at our cocktail hour as well, as it would have been wonderful to be able to enjoy his music for a little longer. Thanks Nick! Erin & David Soprano

We hired Nick to play at the ceremony and cocktail hour for our November wedding. SO happy we did! The music was beautiful, and it set the perfect ambiance for the day. When I arrived to the location, I had to sit in the car for awhile while my groom was hidden away. Some of my bridesmaids went up to the ceremony site and came back saying, "Oh, the guitarist is playing, and the music is just perfect.everything looks and sounds perfect!" Wow, what a great thing to hear on your wedding day!

Another great thing about Nick- he does not need much direction! It's so nice to have vendors that you can trust to do what they say they're going to do. Our wedding went so smoothly with the perfect soundtrack, and I know we have Nick to thank for that! Everyone loved him, we loved him.you'll love him too! Thanks, Nick!

Nick is a great teacher, I'm really happy with my progress! He learns songs quickly and totally gets how to work with me. It's been a pretty unique experience- his studio is great. I like how he uses his computer to make drums and other instruments to play along with. I've had a few other guitar teachers, and none have used as much technology, it's really helpful, and he has helped me use computer drums at home too.

Every other teacher I've had hasn't even come close to the resources he uses, and he's just as good a player as any of them, it's a unique little business.

My husband and I both take lessons from Nick (he plays guitar and I play bass) and we're very happy with our progress. We bring in music and he learns it very quickly, and teaches it to us very clearly. Good prices too, nobody in his price range could do both instruments as well.
