There are important advantages of taking music lessons in a teacher's studio. Having the teacher all for himself/herself, a student would not need to adjust his learning speed according to other students' capabilities. That way the student would have a consistent learning experience without interruptions or pauses.I provide a cozy, fun and organized teaching studio where students feel comfortable and study for many years, in most cases, during their education. Every student starts a musical journey under my guidance when they first enter through my door so it is my part to provide a smooth and lifelong pathway.

Pianist Ipek Brooks, a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music, has worked with students of varying ages, nationalities and levels for over 10 years and has taught over 100 students. After earning her Master’s Degree at Purchase College State University of New York, she became a faculty member at the same college where she taught college level keyboard studies for 2 years.

My daughter has been going to Piano Alpharetta for about 3 years now. We couldn't be more impressed with the progress she has made over these years. Dr. Brooks is very disciplined, yet amazing as a teacher! She cares about her students. My daughter is really comfortable with her and looks forward to piano lessons every week. If you are looking for structured curriculum and professional coaching, this is definitely the place to be!

Our son has been learning from Dr. Brooks for more than two years and our daughter began her lessons a few months back. What I love about Dr. Brooks is that she works with each student and helps them learn the way that would suit them best. She challenges them and encourages them to work on pieces that they really enjoy learning and playing. She doesn't make them feel bad about their mistakes and she's really there to help them. Also, Piano Alpharetta is an excellent choice as there are many wonderful teachers just like Dr. Brooks who work with your child and your schedule. The school offers so many opportunities year-round for the students to perform that keeps them motivated to learn more and be good at what they are learning.

I've been with Piano Alpharetta for 6 1/2 years (yes, I had to look that up! :-)). The owner, Ipek Brooks, is a wonderful teacher and amazing pianist. She has an amazing passion for teaching piano, as well as the studio as a whole. While most of the students are younger, I would recommend adults to take lessons here just as much. I'm looking forward to my lesson every week, and while I don't get to play as much at home as I would like, the 45 minutes with Ipek are always an amazing joyful break in an otherwise busy schedule. I hope to be be a student of Piano Alpharetta for many years to come!

Dr Brooks is a very talented pianist and a wonderful teacher for my 12 year old son. She is very sensitive to individual strengths. Under her guidance my son has made great progress and more importantly his enthusiasm is consistently at a high level. I would highly recommend Dr Brooks at Piano Alpharetta.

My daughter has been learning piano here for two years now. Dr. Soojung is an excellent instructor and we are very happy with the progress my daughter has made in these 2 years. She is very patient, motivates her to learn different genres/varieties of piano songs and has also introduced her to music composition. We are very glad that we chose PianoAlpharetta and would highly recommend it.

Both my kids learn piano at Piano Alpharetta. They love their teacher and look forward to their piano lessons every week. Its heartwarming to see how they have grown into expressing themselves through playing the piano. I have recommended this place to a couple of friends and they both enrolled their kids and are very happy with the teachers here.

My daughters have been taking lessons with Soojung Jeon at Piano Alpharetta for almost three years. We absolutely love it here. As a teacher, Soojung is extremely knowledgeable, attentive, organized, warm and patient. She's also very responsive to the students' individual interests and requests for material to learn. The academy itself is very well-structured, with numerous performance opportunities (some formal and some informal) throughout the year. All the teachers we've met here seem welcoming and knowledgeable. We regularly recommend Piano Alpharetta to friends and will continue to do so!

My daughter has been learning piano with Dr. Ipek Brooks since the past 6 years. I cannot say enough good words about this academy. Ms. Ipek not only teaches piano but is also like a mentor for my daughter as she helps her discover her strengths and weaknesses in piano as well as life.
