School of Groove School of Groove exudes a fun, family friendly environment. Music is always playing here. All students and family members are greeted when they enter and exit, and are known by name. Loud and obnoxious conversations are discouraged, however parents and families are asked regularly about their latest news. Conversation between faculty members is kept friendly, but to a minimum so we can concentrate on teaching you.

School of Groove employs an eclectic array of instructors so that we can provide you with the broadest musical experience possible. Students study all styles of music from rock, jazz, classical, r&b, world and more for musicians of all skill levels. If you are a kid picking an instrument up for the first time or an adult who wants to get back playing in a band, or an experienced professional, School of Groove provides you with the tools you will need and the opportunities to showcase your skills.

Music Lessons We teach to students of all ages and experience levels. Though there are challenges in creating ensembles and programs with such a diverse student body, we pride ourselves on the tact we are able to maintain in making those decisions. We provide free practice space to all of our students, who participate in a rigorous, yet collaborative musical environment.

The Vuk School of Groove is a true gem in our city, teaching music to all who want to learn, and doing so in the most generous and welcoming way possible

The vibe here is laid-back and professional. I know other adults must take classes here, but I never saw them. In any case, my instructor was patient with me, helpful, and totally put up with my wanting to learn Norah Jones songs. Perhaps even a bit more structure would have been nice, but in any case I got pretty good at playing some blues.

I was taking cello lessons at the School of Groove for a number of months. The people working the desk were always helpful and the instructor I was assigned to, Vanessa, was incredibly patient, competent and talented. I was very thankful that they were flexible with the lesson schedule and responded promptly to questions I had about payment and pricing.
