Son-Sheim Music School We provide excellent instrumental and voice instruction, taught by degreed/experienced professionals whose passion for their art and for their students success infuses every lesson.

We offer a variety of musical opportunities including small group and individual instruction in a wide range of instruments as well as choral and individual voice instruction. Most teachers have a Bachelors degree and some have Masters or Doctoral degrees. The education, experience, and passion that the instructors bring to the classroom create an environment ideal for mentoring each student toward their individual goals.

Scott has taken many college classes and has taught guitar for 30 years. Scott has taught at Son-Sheim since 1982 when the school opened. He is from Minnesota, is single, and music is a big part of his life.

Kelly Weeks is a talented, young and energetic musician who began his musical career as a singer/songwriter, playing solo and with bands in the Minneapolis, Boston and Orlando areas.

Violin
Carolyn Liptak obtained her violin performance degree from the American Conservatory of music in Chicago, IL. Her teaching career began at the Kenneth Warren School of Violin Making, where she taught private violin lessons.
Janice Albertson

Owner / Choirs
She holds a MA and BS in Music Education from the University of Minnesota, Mpls. She taught voice, piano and guitar at Son-Sheim for 20 years and currently directs the Son-Sheim choirs (Sunbeam Kids and Sunshine Kids) as well as accompanies the Rainbow Kids Choir.
