Teacher Tone was formed by a group of leading NYC music teachers in 2006 to accommodate our students with high quality, enjoyable and engaging lessons in their home, and our teachers studios. The idea is to give the community access to New York City's best Piano, Guitar, Voice, Bass and Stringed instrument teachers in all five boroughs.

All our teachers are carefully hand selected from a plethora of NYC based teachers. We find the best teachers in all the major neighborhoods within the five boroughs and offer them to you. We take every measure to match our students with one of our wonderful teachers.

As we have a lot of variety at teacher tone when it comes to lessons, we make sure to get to know our students musical interests before they begin taking lessons. We have one of the top teacher student matching systems that has proven to give students the inspiration and comfort they need to excel in playing their chosen instrument. And as we know how important it is to be comfortable and relaxed in your learning environment, we take every measure to give you as much convenience as possible.

Isabella began studying guitar at age of eight and today she is an active internationally as a solo and chamber music player. After graduating from the music conservatory of bologna with a degree in guitar performance, she graduated with honors in musicology, and got her doctorate from the university of Rome.

Cello

Since his debut at age of eleven with the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra playing the Vivaldi E minor Cello Concerto, Emirhan has appeared in numerous concerts and recitals in Turkey, as well as national and international competitions.

Sun

Violin

Ms. Sun is a multiple winner of the Jiangxi Province’s Annual Violin and Chamber Music Competition in China. As a soloist, she has performed with the Bard Conservatory Orchestra at Harvard University in Boston in May 2011.

Becky

Voice/Piano

Born and Raised in Marin County California, Becky has been studying voice since age 11. She started writing and performing her own music at age 16, while fronting various rock, folk and blues bands.

My daughter 11 years old started to learn guitar with Steven and she loves it. I am a musician and was hoping to teach my daughter ... forget it ! it's much better for both of us to have a guitar teacher. Steven has a solid teaching method and started to teach my daughter her favorite repertoire. Now she is signing Glee's songs while playing chords on her guitar and I am happy.

Have been taking guitar and voice lessons for about 6 month now. I didn't trust the whole match test at first but they really paired me with an awesome teacher. Just bought a gift certificate for voice lessons for my wife.
