We provide a comprehensive learning opportunity for our students. The study of music involves more than lessons and practice. A computer lab is available to most students for the enhancement of the skills necessary to good musicianship. Student recitals and open house events offer the opportunity for all of The Music Academy's students to share their progress in performance.

Each year, qualifying piano students are invited to participate in a master class with a teacher whose special field of knowledge provides a musical theme for the event. Periodically, The Music Academy sponsors professional programs to which students and their families are always welcome, along with the community at large.

Candace Fazzio

Piano Instruction

Since 1995, Candace has been principal faculty member, and director of The Music Academy. With the assistance of professional, experienced music teachers, the Academy offers both group and individual piano instruction, as well as guitar and voice lessons.

John Garcia

Guitar Instruction

A solid vocalist and blues guitarist who has been astoundingly dedicated and passionate about music for over 30 years of entertaining, performing recording and teaching, John Garcia has been on the faculty at The Music Academy since 1996. His performance history includes work as lead guitarist in a wide variety of musical styles, with a veritable "who's who" of blues, rock, jazz, and country artists

Sandra Marlowe

Vocal Instruction

Sandra Marlowe is a singer/entertainer with over 20 years of live performance and session work with bands, ensembles and theater groups. Her academic and private studies have included voice, piano, opera, acting, jazz, and dance; her musical interests range from Bach to Broadway to bebop to blues!

Eric Finley

Violin Instruction

Violinist Eric Finley started his musical training when he was eight. He has played with, and served as concertmaster with many orchestras and ensembles in the Bay Area, including the Redwood Symphony, Nova Vista Symphony, the San Jose State University Symphony and Chamber Ensemble.
