CSMA has offered private music instruction for over 40 years. The CSMA music faculty is a group of highly trained and experienced performers and instructors. The music program has several types of instruction including private lessons, master classes, workshops, classes and ensembles.

We are a personalized, professional piano studio in Syracuse, NY offering piano lessons for students of all ages. I offer studies in classical repertoire, thorough technical grounding, ensemble playing, performance classes, recitals, and adjudications.
The Kanack School of Music accepts students of any age. There are toddler classes, and twinkle classes which use the highly regarded Suzuki method for violin, viola, cello, and piano. There are private lessons for many instruments including violin, viola, cello, flute, guitar, voice, and piano. There are teen classes and classes just for adults and senior citizens.
Student drums are available to members for use during class time on a first- come, first-served basis. Most members purchase their own personal drum (s) once they have first had a chance to try several of the student drums. Having your own drum allows for practice at home and with friends outside of class time, enabling students who choose to practice to grow their abilities at a faster pace.

To insure that no serious student is denied the opportunity for quality instruction due to race, gender, creed, national origin or lack of finances, lesson fees being determined according to family income.

Granted, guitar is our specialty, but we also do bass guitar, drums, piano, sax, flute, clarinet, violin, banjo, mandolin, as well as ukulele. Our location is convenient, and easy to access. No long term commitments here, just month to month terms of lessons covering musical theory, tab, and site reading.
