Uncle Jon installed my new Zakk Wylde active pickup set for an amazing price. I am very pleased. Thank you Jon.

I brought my son in to buy a guitar & Jon was extremely helpful. My son knew a little bit about what he was looking for, and Jon was able to help him with any questions he had about the rest of it. It was a really relaxed atmosphere & Jon didn't mind letting him search through & play with all the guitars to see what he wanted. He was super helpful without being the least bit pushy or seeming like a salesman! My son was able to find exactly what he wanted & I know we'll be back again.

Uncle Jon's did a great job on a repair of my Larivee guitar. I just picked it up and I couldn't be more thrilled. They did extremely careful and detailed work to repair a bridge separating from the top of the guitar, and all at a very reasonable price! This is a great store, and I'm so glad they're in my neighborhood!

I recently took in one of my guitars to be checked out for a bowed neck, and in only a few days, Jon Sr. had it working 10x better than it was before. Please support this business! Everything about it is amazing. Also, the selection of instruments to buy was perfect. If you're ever looking for repairs, new instruments, or even just have some questions, Uncle Jon's is the place to go.

Uncle Johns Music delivered above and beyond. 2 days before Christmas I brought a 12 string guitar into Uncle Johns Music to get restrung. They got the new strings on and did a thorough cleaning. The Guitar was ready and looking beautiful when I picked it up on Christmas Eve and ready to gift. Thank you John & John Sr.

In our current era of online shopping and the disappearance of local brick and mortar shops, Uncle Jon's Music stands out as a real gem. Friendly, knowledgeable and great pricing and a nice array of instruments. I've brought two guitars in for some repairs and they left Jon's shop looking fantastic and playing beautifully. Do yourself a favor and stop by.

Uncle John's music is owned and operated by true music lovers. Their prices are fair and they bring enthusiasm to the town with their ukulele circles and other musical events. I trust Uncle John's Music to service my high-end guitars and use them regularly. They do a solid job, but sometimes they take longer than I think it should take to get some of the work done. They can be a tad slow sometimes, so they get 4 stars instead of the full 5 from me. Still good though and I recommend them for your musical needs.

Uncle Jon's music is a great place for music lessons, band instrument repair and guitars and pedals. Jon let my son try out different pedals for almost an hour today. This is such a great place!

I absolutely love Uncle Jon's. Jon Sr. I believe is the man that has worked on a few on my guitars. His work is exceptional and price friendly! He has fixed my Fender Strat when I thought it was beyond repair, he tuned up my PRS, and he completely hooked up my Ollandac. I had the Ollandoc custom made and when it arrived it needed lots of work.

He adjusted the nut, straighten the neck, installed new Duncan 59 pickups on both the neck and bridge. The pick ups were a bit tricky because they are the 4 conductor model that needed to be wired up for straight humbucker, split coil, and parallel switching. UJM is the only place I trust to touch my babies and she sounds amazing now! The work is done fast, correct, cost effective, and you can tell they take pride in their work.

Love the fact that they don't try to up sell you and they give great advise. Give the small guys a chance and stay away from big shop retailers that only care about $$$$. The staff if friendly and fun to talk too, UJM has a customer for life and I recommend them to anyone I talk too! Well done UJM!

A great local Ma and Pa guitar shop. Have been going here for years - since they opened in 2004. Took lessons, bought a couple guitars. Jon Sr. Is a great luthier and has worked on a dozen of my guitars. Very affordable rates too. Separately Jon Jr. and Jon Sr. are musicians themselves and belong to a great Swing band called the Flat Cats. A Chicagoland favorite. They're also very involved with the City of Westmont, run Food Pantry charity events. They're terrific people

Very friendly staff and always showed a willingness to help me with my guitar issues. They offered reasonable prices, and didn't try to get any extra services out of me for my money. It's a shame I don't live in town anymore to be able to take my guitars do these guys for my guitar work. Highly recommended!

They halve terrible customer service with zero respect for their customers. This obnoxious and inconsiderate attitude is not permissible. Additionally, they were extremely arrogant and continuously interrupted every word I said. They seemed very apathetic and were blunt in all of their responses. I would never return there.

I have purchased instruments, string, books, etc from UJM, and each and every time, it has been a great experience. Whenever I need something, I can just send an e-mail. I get my replies almost immediately, and if they don't have it, they order it, and I usually have it within a week. They have a ukulele circle as well, and it is always a lot of fun.

Everyone at UJM is always very pleasant and accommodating. Their prices are good, and each instrument seems to have already been set up and ready to play. I recommend UJM to a lot of people, and their feedback is always good.

I needed some Speakon adapters and cables for a show we were doing that night. I called guitar center and the guy was pretty rude when I asked how much the cables cost. He replied they are so many different types you will need to come in and speak to our audio pro. I called Uncle Jon's and they were very polite and accommodating. They checked to see if they had what I needed and they did. They had it waiting on the counter for me when I got there. They will definitely get my business in the future.

I've bought seven guitars, a bass, a uke, a banjo, and a mandolin here, along with amps, a keyboard, and lots of accessories. Friendly, family joint, and the whole family is musical. They have an amazing annual blowout in the alley behind the shop, with local bands, including a couple of the bands the family has formed. Between the various members of the family, I think they play 20 different instruments. I've also had them fix up three busted guitars of mine.

After I gave them my original Kay for repair, a crummy little acoustic thing that was my first guitar from 1975 (the neck was coming out), Jon Sr. fixed it up, and it's like having a whole new guitar, and it's now my new/old favorite. Good prices, great service. My youngest takes guitar lessons there the last several years as well. Excellent anchor store for a somewhat anemic downtown.
