The Worcester Academy of Music, a privately-owned and operated institution dedicated to the cultural growth of the Greater Worcester community, offers musical instruction to students of all ages. We employ performers and teachers of the highest caliber in an effort to enhance both individual creativity and knowledge. Each student is afforded the opportunity to learn and experience the musical and academic arts through private and classroom instruction.

A native of the Worceseter area, Philip has been performing actively on percussion for over 15 years. Philip discovered his musical talents at the young age of 7 when he started taking piano lessons. After entering middle school, he took interest in percussion. He began taking lessons playing in the school band, and he continued studying and playing percussion through high school, college, and beyond.

Caribbean born composer,conductor and pianist, H. Archibald has had the privilege of receiving his training at The Boston Conservatory. His primary teachers have included Dr. John Adams (composition), Dawn Crabtree (piano), Harriet Lundberg (piano), Dr Peter Cokkinias (conducting), and Masterclass with composer Andy Vores.

A native of New York, Samantha Benson has been an active performer and teacher in New York, North Carolina, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. Samantha started horn lessons at the age of ten, on Long Island. After moving to North Carolina, she performed as principal horn in the Greensboro Symphony Youth Orchestra. Samantha continued her musical career at Appalachian State University, with a dual major in Horn Performance and Instrumental Music Education, and with a student teaching position in general music at two K-8 schools in Boone, North Carolina.

A native of Athens, Greece, Nora Karakousoglou took her first music lessons privately, in piano, at age four. Five years later, she enrolled at the Athens Conservatory for piano and cello and studied both instruments until the age of nine, when…the cello won. After graduating from high-school in Athens, Nora furthered her music education in Paris, France, where she studied for three years at the Ecole Nationale de Musique d’Aulnay-sous-Bois.
