Many people come to the experienced and professional teachers at Gordon's Music & Sound to learn how to play their new instruments. We currently have instructors for flute, brasswinds, strings, guitar, bass guitar, piano, voice, drums and percussion, but new teachers come in fairly frequently so keep checking with us to see if we can find a teacher for you.

Our lesson programs consist of one 30-minute session each week at a fixed day and time at only $25 per lesson. Tim Acosta

Trumpet, Trombone & Horn

Tim Acosta holds both Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Trumpet Performance from San Francisco State and Cal State East Bay respectively. Tim currently teaches the Jazz Band, has taught Jazz History, Music Appreciation and Brass Class at Solano Community College.

Maxim Baluyev

Strings

Maxim Baluyev received his music education at Rimsky-Korsakoff College of Music in St.Petersburg, Russia and at San Francisco Conservatory of Music. His Teachers include Albert Markov, Zaven Melikian, Denis DeCoto and Ian Swenson.

Alan Hall

Guitar & Bass

Alan has performed professionally in the Bay Area and CA for over two decades, and has been an instructor of music for the past twelve. In the late ‘80’s he plied his early trade with the rock and metal outfits Flying Circus and Menagerie.
