Our mission is to provide quality education in music and musical opportunities to people in the greater Berkshire community regardless of race, religion, ethnic origin, disability, age, or ability to pay. We are an independent, nonprofit organization. Full tuition covers only 55 percent of actual expenses. The school was founded in December 1940 by Winnie Davis Long Crane, a leader in the Berkshire cultural community.
