Northeast Iowa School of Music

Founded in 2001, Northeast Iowa School of Music is a non-profit community music school dedicated to making music education accessible to all ages and abilities in Dubuque, Iowa. Our mission focuses on personal and creative growth through instruction, performance, and outreach, serving students from preschoolers to seniors. We offer private lessons, group classes, and ensemble opportunities across brass, strings, piano, voice, and more, taught by experienced educators. Our facilities include private studios and a piano lab, with programs designed to meet diverse community needs. Certified by the National Guild for Community Arts Education, we maintain rigorous standards in curriculum, faculty qualification, and accessibility.

With over two decades of service, we emphasize financial aid availability and community engagement through concerts and outreach initiatives. Our seasonal programs allow flexible enrollment, ensuring students can start at any time. Committed to fostering musical passion, we provide structured fall and spring semesters for ensembles and individual instruction. Our outreach efforts extend to preschool music events and partnerships with local institutions like the Carnegie-Stout Public Library. As a tax-deductible organization, we rely on donations to sustain and expand our impact in the Driftless region.
