Pete Walrath Guitar Instruction

I have taught hundreds of kids and adults to play the guitar since 1994. I take great pride in making sure each student receives the training necessary to become self-sufficient and able to grow on the instrument for the rest of their lives. My students generally become good improvisers, knowledgeable of music theory and very good guitar player.

I teach many different styles including jazz, rock, pop, latin, funk, blues, folk to name a few. I really look forward to working with you!

I have had great success taking students from their very first lesson all the way through to admission to prestigious music programs such as Berklee College of Music and the University of Miami. I fully understand that each student has their own interests, their own best way of learning, and individual aspirations for the future. Keeping this in mind I can ensure that a student gets the most out of their studies while keeping their interest at a maximum level.
