I pass twice a day, on that route, and I wonder, could it be that someone could not speak English, learn music, ? I am 34 years old and I am originally from Guatemala, and I love music, since I was 17 years old, and my dream would be to be able to learn, music in a place like this!

If helping improve your community is a priority for you, getting involved with W.O. Smith Music School is a great place to start. I have been to a few fundraiser events that have benefited W.O. Smith and donated some funds, but wish that I could just do more. Basically, W.O. Smith Music School provides music lessons to children from low-income families for 50 per lesson.

The faculty is comprised of generous community volunteers and all all of the instruments and materials are loaned to the students at no additional cost. There are other volunteer opportunities that include library management, assisting at the front desk, and coordinating special events. In regards to donations, you may give personally or include W.O. Smith in your corporate giving plan as well.

The Music School is also a gorgeous large event space an my be rented out. I happen to get all warm and fuzzy when I can participate in ways that will help better my community. All around, just a wonderful place!
