Boulevard Music We offer music lessons for a variety of instruments, as well as voice training. You'll find our teachers are not just fine players, but more importantly have years of experience as instructors. Private instruction is available from our roster of fine professionals to meet your personal needs. Instruction is available for the following instruments and voice in an assortment of different styles. Quality teachers with years of experience at an affordable rate. Currently we are offering 4 1/2 hour lessons for $120.

Gary Mandell
Guitar
Gary Mandell has given instruction in guitar and keyboard since 1968. He has played and taught Folk, Rock, Acoustic and Electric Blues, Jazz (improvisation), Country (including Chet Atkins style), Bluegrass, and Classical styles as well as arranging and orchestration. His assignments have included arrangements and orchestrations for the L.A. Philharmonic, Rochester Symphony, and La Mirada Symphony to the Tonight Show band.
Mark Shark
Banjo
Mark Shark is currently giving banjo lessons on site at Blvd Music. With over forty years of playing experience Mark Shark is a fine multi-instrumentalist performer, composer, teacher and now author. He has shared the stage with Jackson Browne, Jesse Ed Davis, Bonnie Raitt, Taj Mahal, and John Trudell.
Sara Behar
Violin/ Viola
Sara Behar has more than 18 years experience teaching violin and viola as well as music and movement programs. A music specialist in early childhood development and teaching young children, she is currently a member of the Long Beach Symphony, and is principal violist with the Beach Cities Symphony.
Sharyn Scott
Voice
Sharyn Scott developed her teaching program from working with well known vocal instructor Seth Riggs twice a week for over four years on various styles of music. Sharyn also studied Opera with Seth's wife Kathleen. Born in Cornwall, England, Sharyn began singing at the age of nine.
Bruce Friedman
Trumpet
Bruce Friedman is a trumpeter based in the Southern California area. He has studied trumpet with Marco Blaauw, Uan Racey, James Stamp and others. After earning his Bachelors Degree at Humboldt State University, he earned a Teaching Credential in Instrumental Music at CSU Los Angeles.
