Academy Of Music & Fine Arts In an environment that honors achievement, creativity and personal growth, the Academy of Music and Fine Arts nurtures the aspirations of all students, regardless of their initial ability while inspiring a lifelong love of the arts, no matter their eventual career path. Each student is carefully matched to a member of the Academys talented, dedicated faculty, who strive to be inspiring mentors as well as musical and intellectual leaders.

In order to give our students an intensive professional education in their musical discipline, our multi-faceted approach to musical education incorporates Solfeggio and Choir classes into their curriculum, providing each student with a solid foundation in music and an expansive education in the liberal arts.

Brian Heveron-Smith is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music (BM ’08), majoring in Percussion Performance and also receiving the Performer’s Certificate. He is a versatile drummer, percussionist, pianist, mandolin player, composer/arranger, and songwriter.

Andrew Connors is a young musician and teacher committed to educating and instilling a love of music in his students through a supportive, compassionate, and exciting teaching style. Andrew holds an Associates Degree in Music with a concentration on Guitar Performance from the acclaimed Musicians Institute, as well as a Bachelors Degree in History.

Bree Mills is a freelance performer and aspiring young artist in the Greater Los Angeles area. In addition to teaching at AMFA, she is a member of the Song of Angels Flute Orchestra and the Grace Baptist Church Praise Orchestra, coaches the Grace Baptist Church Flute Choir, and is a guest collaborative artist at The Master’s College.

Nune Bagdasaryan took her first musical steps at Dzrbashyan Music School in Yerevan, Armenia, where she studies for 7 years. She then went on to Arno Babajanyan Music Conservatory and earned her Master’s Degree at the Komitas Conservatory.
