Sarah Smith is an experienced flutist with a degree in music from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

We utilize a wide range of instruments to develop, hone, and challenge students. We not only teach a large variety of drums, but also timpani, marimba, and a host of other percussive instruments to create and maintain a well-rounded understanding of percussion, not just "drumming".

The Academy of Strings, hosted by Central Baptist Church in Johnson City, TN, offers violin instruction including group lessons to students ages 4 to 18. The Academy currently has 80 students studying twice a week with master violinists and teachers Kimberly & Timothy Barrett. The Academy of Strings believes wholeheartedly in the Suzuki Method and uses its truths and principles as the core of its musical curriculum and method.
