What instruments do you offer lessons for?
We teach piano, guitar, bass, ukulele, violin, cello, mandolin, drums, saxophone, trumpet, flute, harmonica, and more. Contact us for specific instrument inquiries.
What are your lesson time options?
Lessons are available weekdays 9am-8pm and Saturdays. Flexible scheduling accommodates different availability with options for 30, 45, or 60-minute sessions.
Do you offer group classes for children?
Yes! We have age-specific group classes like Around the World in 10 Songs (ages 7-14) and Piano Foundations for Kids (ages 7-9) with small class sizes.
What is your recital policy?
We host two annual recitals (Spring and Winter) for private lesson students. Participation is optional but encouraged, featuring professional organization and family-friendly events.
Do you offer trial lessons for new students?
New students receive four lessons at 35% off to help find the right instructor and instrument before committing to ongoing lessons.
What teaching methods do you use for young children?
We use Suzuki method foundations combined with modern approaches. For ages 4-5, we assess readiness based on ABC knowledge, direction-following, and focus ability.

We needed to get our daughter into an activity outside her video games. She had an interest in guitar so we gave it a shot and it has been so rewarding. She loves the teacher and says that they're patient and teach in a way that makes it fun learning. We went through some family issues over the summer and it had disrupted my daughters classes a bit. The music institute reached out with kindness and understanding. They gave her extra time on her lessons to make up for the missed appointments and they were accommodating and just plain wonderful I reccomend them 110%

My son took classical guitar lessons at MIR and really enjoyed his teacher, the lessons, and the pace at which he was able to advance. It was a wonderful experience for him. I would highly recommend MIR no matter what your musical interest.
