Steve Bruce Lesson Materials For beginning students who are children, for piano I typically set out with Hal Leonard's PIANO Adventures of Nancy and Randall Faber. I've invariably found it easy in teaching a new student how to read music and learn the language of music. Reading music is important and relatively easy to teach. Playing by ear is also very important, and I make it easy to learn for my students.

Drum Lessons are taught out of my drum studio in Santee, Ca. All students learn on a real drum kit that is miced and ready for recording. They are also given multiple opportunities to perform. Students are exposed to a variety of playing styles in order to give them a more well-rounded knowledge of drumming and a greater appreciation for music history.

I combine my experience as a classical musician with expertise as a band performer, recording artist and composer to create my own method of teaching people of various age groups. My goal is to provide students with a solid music education so that they will be able to express their joy and love of music. The studio is conveniently located in the central part of La Mesa.

Since 1980 more than 6, 000 students have taken music lessons ( piano, guitar, voice, drum, violin, brass, and woodwinds) at our facility, more than at any other studio in Chula Vista. We started as a very small school but have grown to become the largest school in Chula Vista by offering the widest variety of music and voice lessons.
